  16. The speed should be at least 14,400. USRobotics is a very good brand that is 
  17. available in Thailand. They are about 5000 baht for an external modem and 
  18. about 4000 baht for an internal.

  20. Don't buy an old low-speed modem. (eg 2,400 bps). These old modems often 
  21. don't have good error checking features, so they are not good for file 
  22. transfer.

  24. I suggest don't try to use Quicklink II with your modem. It is harder to 
  25. get working than other fax/modem software.
